Carl T. Murdock, 87, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Friday April 4, 2008 in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. He was born April 30, 1920 in Lawrence County, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Maude Wilgus Murdock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Earl Murdock, Willie Hesson, Edith Jones, Conley Murdock, Clovis Murdock, and two infant brothers. Carl was a member of Greasy Ridge Church of Christ and a member of Proctorville VFW Post #6878. He is survived by his wife Lillian Murdock; two daughters Mary and Johnny Floyd of Chesapeake, Ohio and Patty Ferris of Proctorville; one son Carl Jr. and Joy Murdock of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Jackie) Floyd, Greg (Diana) Floyd, Eric (Abby) Floyd, Randy (Stephanie) Ferris, April (Todd) Casteel, Aimee (Jeff) Engle, Molly Murdock, and Nick (Jenny) Murdock; 13 great grandchildren, Ashley, Leslie, Heather, Jeremy, Erin, Isaac, Brady, Shania, Tanner, Emma, Austin, Lexi, and Alison; two special caregivers Sherri Mannon and Casi Conway; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday April 7, 2008 at Hall Funeral Home by Minister Barry Kelley. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday April 6, 2008 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites.
