William G. Brands of 14726 Slover Street in Colton, a native of New Jersey and a
resident of Fontana for 45 years and California for 49 years, died yesterday in
a Fontana hospital at the age of 80. He was a retired employe of the San
Gabriel Valley Water Co. and member of the Disabled American Veterans Post. No.
056 and Veterans of World War I, Barracks No. 386. Survivors include his widow,
Clara of Fontana, a daughter, Rosemarie Murphy of Germany and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Ingold Chapel with burial at
Montecito Memorial Park.
