KOUTS -- Jack H. Baird, 65, of 602 E. 900S, Kouts resident for 12 years and co-owner of Jackson's Bar, Valparaiso, died at home today after an illness of six months.
Born Nov. 3, 1916 in Valparaiso, on June 14, 1970 he married Joan (Kelso) Adams, who survives. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kouts, Masonic Lodge of Hebron, Moose Lodge and the Farm Bureau of Valparaiso.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christina Baird and Mrs. Brad Dolezal of Valparaiso; a son, Michael of Western Springs, Ill.; a stepson, Kurt Adams of South Bend; a stepsister, Mrs. Curtis Merriweather of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Services 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kosanke Funeral Home; the Rev. Michael Kuner officiating; burial in Graceland Cemetery, Kouts; visitation 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
