My beautiful mother Lillie Mae Howard married Lurie Edward Yates 11 May 1934 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and had 2 daughters: Olva Elizabeth "Betty" Yates; and Patsy Lee Yates, who died at birth. She remarried to Louis Holmes Perkins on 7 Dec 1946 and had one daughter, Cynthia Louis "Cindy" Perkins. Mother was an outstanding homemaker and businesswoman, an expert chef, seamstress and gardener; a champion bowler whose trophies covered the wall of a room; and an outstanding mother and grandmother. eyj
