George E. Peck's first wife was Polly "Mae" Williams, whom he married in 1886. George and Mae had seven children:

1) Maude Ellen Peck (1886-1974), who married George Edgar Allen;
2) Amy Melvina Peck (1888-1966), who married Floyd W. Butcher;
3) Eugene E. Peck (b. 1890);
4) Bert Ray Peck (1892-1971), who married Lillian Clare Butler;
5) Nellie Pearl Peck (1894-1972), who married Jesse Lee Butcher;
6) Nettie May Peck (1894-1940), who married James Waterman;
7) Delbert David Peck (1897-1926).

George's second wife was Rosella Cloud, daughter of Charles M. Cloud and Martha Hixon, whom he married on December 5, 1907 in Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota. They had no known children.

George Peck, 81, a retired farmer, who resided in the Akron, Ia. community for 28 years, died Thursday evening [March 7, 1946] in a Sioux City hospital.

He was born July 4, 1864, at Rochester, Minn. He had farmed near Akron and Westfield, Ia., prior to retiring about 14 years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Bert of Westfield and Eugene of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. George Allen and Mrs. Floyd Butcher, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Nellie Butcher of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Floyd of Hawarden, Ia., and Charles of Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. Charles Dennis and Mrs. David Mogareidge, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Robert Hayes, Elk Point, S.D.; and Mrs. Jessie Cotton, South Sioux City, Neb.; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Anderson funeral home.
