Mrs. Susie Bell Adams
Mrs. Susie Bell Adams of Manchester died at the age of 81, Thursday at the Springfield Convalescent Center where she had been a patient for the past year.
She was born in Winhall, May 29, 1893 to Luke and Alice (Lillie) Bradshaw, received her education in the schools of Winhall and Manchester, and had lived in Manchester for the past 70 years. She was first married to Ernest Fleming, who died in 1949. She later married Harry Adams. Until her retirement she worked in many area homes as a cook.
She leaves nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center Saturday afternoon at 2 by the Rev. Richard D. Olmstead, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Manchester. Entombment will follow in Factory Point Cemetery receiving vault, pending burial in the spring in Dellwood Cemetery, Manchester.
