Born Dec. 5, 1918, in Cambridge City, Ind., he was a son of Lorin and Grace (Argabright) Ulrich.
He received an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University. Before retiring in 1983, he was employed as an electrical engineer for RCA for 42 years. He was a member of the Augusta Friends worship group.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Eugenia (Moorman) Ulrich, and a brother Richard Ulrich. Surviving are three children, Joseph Ulrich of Waynesboro, Peter Ulrich and wife Qing Chen of Fulton, Md., and Clara Reitz and husband Alan of Staunton; two grandchildren, Michaelyn and Konrad Reitz; and a step-granddaughter, Jackie Chen.
The family wishes to express gratitude to special caregivers Barbara Seal, Glenna Jones, Amanda Young and Sheila Groah; and Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Shapcott.
A private burial will be take place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Staunton. A celebration of life service will be announced later.
