Frank was the son of Lucinda Jane Dancer and Ezekiel Coleman McDaniel. He had 8 brothers and 3 sisters: John R McDaniel, William Thomas 'Will' McDaniel, Martha 'Ann' McDaniel, Henry M. McDaniel, Edgar L. McDaniel, Jim D. McDaniel, Kenneth Lee McDaniel, Winnie McDaniel, Jocie Lula McDaniel, Richard Marvin 'Dick' McDaniel and George 'Eber' McDaniel. He married Virgia Jaggars d/o John Lewis Malone Jaggars and Phebe Lydia Anthum Malone Jaggars on December 25, 1908. Frank and Virgia had 6 children: Emmit Lee, Lillie Mae, Leathie Evelyn, Erby Luster, Carlos and Lydia Lucinda.
