OAKDALE (Spl.) - Funeral services for Mrs. Leonia Ardoin McDaniel, 84, of Oakdale were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the Ardoin funeral home chapel. Rev. H. T. Sullivan, pastor of the First Baptist church, was to officiate. Burial was to be in the Oakland [sic Oakdale] cemetery. Mrs. McDaniel died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at her home.
She had been a resident of Oakdale 45 years. She previously lived in Eston.
Survivors are one son, Lee McDaniel of Oakdale; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Reed of New Iberia; three brothers, Enos, Ed and Eloid Ardoin, all of Eston; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Leggett of Pine Prairie, Mrs. Sophia Conrad and Mrs. Beulah Bolton, both of Sulphur, and Mrs. Edna Leggett of Alexandria; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
