Adelaide "Ada" Martha Koethe, daughter of Oscar William Henry Koethe and Amelia Smith, was a native of Hokah, Houston, Minnesota. She married Charles Sumner Knox on 9 Jan 1889 in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. By 1900, the couple had moved to Milwaukee. By 1910, the family resided in Cook County, Illinois, first in Chicago and later in Palos. The couple retired to Polk County, Florida where Ada was widowed in 1943. She died at the age of 46 and was buried in Orland Memorial Park Cemetery in Orland, Cook, Illinois on 13 Feb 1947.
