A little Story of
how they Met
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Olga met Gus when she went to Klien, Montana to go with Aunt Jeanne when they went to Rochester for a operation. Baptist had sent for my mother money to buy her ticket. My father and his 3 brothers and his father worked in the mines in Klien. Baptist wanted Olga to take Jeanne to Rochester. About 1919. Marcelle and uncle George. Marcelle's parents (Serre) owned the boarding house where they all lived (Gus, his father and his brothers). That's how George met Marcelle. They also met Fievets. The Fievets were friends of (Serre's). Olga brought Jeanne back to Klien. Gus was busily courting Olga. She was going to go back to Kansas. He was showing off, jumping fences to show how strong he was. He told her he would go to Kansas and drag her back to Montana. She decided she might as well marry him. Marcelle knew him and what a nice guy he was. She was going to marry George and they were all friends together.
