Everett J. Worthington, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Shawnee, KS, June 30, 2003. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at Full Faith Church of Love, 6824 Lackman Rd.; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. He was born in Iconium [Saint Clair County], MO, but spent most of his life in Kansas City. He met his wife, Mary, in church in 1941, and they were married in 1942. Everett worked for 39 years at Tension Envelope and nine years at the Wyandotte County Nutrition Center. He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and a boy's leader. He also served as an Agape Greeter at Full Faith Church of Love for 10 years, where he attended for 32 years. Everett is survived by his wife, Mary K. Worthington; daughter, Donna Dorsey of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Karen Emery; grandson, Michael Emery; greatgrandson, Jacob Emery; brother, C.T. Worthington; and sister, Ruth Blunt.
