Veura married Russell Delong on Dec 5, 1915 in Marion Co., IN. They had 3 sons:

Mrs. Veura E. Delong, 71 years old, 5705 Woodside Drive, died yesterday in St. Vincent's Hospital. Born at Rosston, Mrs. Delong lived in Indianapolis most of her life. She was a member of the Crooked Creek Baptist Church and was active in its Dorcas Circle Missionary Society.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, James and Donald Delong, both of Indianapolis, and Max Delong of Mooresville; a sister, Mrs. Vira Cotton of Indianapolis, and nine grandchildren. [Saturday, June 19, 1965, Indianapolis Star]
