Daniel, 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 24, 2002 in the Everett General Hospital (Colby campus).

He was born on Wednesday, November 27, 1918 [at the end of WWI and during the Spanish Flu Pandemic] to his parents Lawrence P. and Myrtle M. (Goodwater) Bunney in Minot, North Dakota. Daniel attended the Minot public schools. As he grew into young adulthood, he worked for Western Union; the CCC's and the WPA while living in Minot. Daniel lived his early years of life filled with economic hardships and the early deaths of his two sisters during the Great Depression

In December of 1938, he moved with his parents first to Everett and then to Skagit Co., Washington. There he helped run a family-dairy bussiness near Lyman for a number of years up until 1946. After the death of his father, Lawrence, he would relocated yet again back to Everett, Washington and he would make Snohomish Co. his home for the remainder of his life.

Daniel married Yvonne M.(Richardson) Henrichs on Thursday, August 7, 1947 in Seattle, Washington. In November of 1949, they moved to a little farm in Swans Trail area near Snohomish and he made that his home for the next 53 years. Mr. Bunney worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for 33 years. He was also a member of the Everett Senior Center.

Daniel is survived by his son, Bryan A. Bunney; a step-daughter, Sandra J. (Monty Chritchley) Henrichs; daughter-in-law, Ardith (Beth) Bunney. Grandchildren: Julie Radke, Genelle (Sean) Blackburn, Gabrielle (Ron) Axtell and Adam C. Bunney. Great-grandchildren: Lindsey Radke, Khrystelle and Steven Blackburn. Two sister-in-laws: Adeline and Ruth Bunney. Also a number of nieces and nephews, all of the greater Northwest. And his little dog, Mr. Chase.

Mr. Bunney was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne M. Bunney of 43 years; a son Dennis D. Bunney, siblings: Clarence, Elmer, Blanche, Leon, David and Hazel Bunney. A special friend, Esther Haugen and his little dog, Mr. Smith.

His service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 1, 2002, at Purdy Walters with Cassidy and burial in the family plot at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett, Washington.
