Horneck, David D. "Eddie"

David D. "Eddie" Horneck, 43, of 80 E. Fremont St., Kiel, died Friday evening, June 24, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born July 18, 1967, in Chilton, son of Dale and Darlene (Waack) Horneck. David was a 1985 graduate of Kiel High School. On April 6, 1991, he married the former Christine Herr at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Osman.

Eddie was currently the plant manager of Wausau Equipment in Fond du Lac. He had previously worked for A&J Vans in Valders, MB Company of New Holstein, and Kohler Co. He was a member of the Ant Hill Mob motorcycle club, S.T.I.C.S. Snowmobile club, and was formerly involved with the EWSC Racing in Plymouth and Chilton. Eddie was a member of St. Peters UCC in Kiel. Eddie's greatest love was spending time with his family and many friends, especially going to his daughters' sporting events and activities. He enjoyed going camping, snowmobiling, motorcycling, watching all kinds of motorsports and playing beanbags and washers. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife,; Chris; his daughters, Becca, Jenna and Greta, all at home; his parents, Dale and Darlene Horneck, School Hill; three sisters, Dawn (Paul) Williams, Sheboygan Falls; Daphne (Tony) Grybush, Kiel; Daisy (Ross) Sippel, Kiel; one brother, Davin "Puck" Horneck, Kiel. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne (Sue) Brunner, Waterford; Bev (Charlie) Jeanty, New Holstein; Mickey (Sue) Herr, Cleveland; Trudy (Ron) Boldt, Valders; Nancy (Jerry) Wasmer, Howards Grove; Janelle (John) Moritz, Kiel; Laura Stein, Green Bay; Patty (Jeff) Schaller, Random Lake; David (Cathy) Herr, Kiel. Eddie is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Davis; mother-in-law, Kathleen Herr; father-in-law, Frederick (Marian "Petie") Herr; a sister-in-law, Marlene Brunner; brother-in-law,Kevin Stein.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at St. Peters UCC, 424 Fremont St., Kiel, with the Rev Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday, June 27, 2011, from 3 tol 7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. when we will have brief family rites. Burial in the Kiel City Cemetery.
