WILLISTON - John A. Howard, Sr., of Williston, passed away on June 26, 2011, at the age of 81.
John, known to his friends and family as 'Jesse', was born in Sept. 1929 in Stockbridge.
He drove an 18 wheeler for 66 years, participated in rodeos and Jimcannas, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha; daughter, Christie and her husband, Robby, of New Hampshire; and brother, Robert of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, Elton and Cora; two brothers, Calvin and Gilbert; and one sister Grace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 64 West Main St., Richmond.
There will be a gathering held after for friends and family to celebrate his life.
