Clarence effected the establishment of a private banking business, under the firm name of William H. Greer's Sons,kna Bank of Magnolia, his brother being associated with him. The bank was organized in November 1899, and was recognized as one of the solid and ably conducted financial institutions of the county. The bank is still in operation 103 years later. In 1902, Clarence S. Greer became associated with Wallen M. Beatty in the organization of the Greer-Beatty Clay Company, which manufactured hollow building blocks and fire brick. Served as Mayor of Magnolia
