CLINTON- Peter Van Doren Jr., 88, Clinton, died Monday at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Seeser, John Noble, Lawrence Wilden, Chad Holy, David Speakman and Larry McDonnell.
He was born June 7, 1913, to Peter Van Doren Sr. and Christine Behr Van Doren. On March 28, 1934, he married Marian Glastetter in Clinton.
He attended Talman Country School in Clinton County.
He was a farmer and worked on Farm-All Equiptment. He also worked security at Chemplex and Ralston-Purina.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Reta Roe of Clinton, Lois Surber of Arcadia, Fla., and Ellen Robinson of Springdale, Ark.; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Hoff of Fulton, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
