To this union were born 16 children: Pelatiah 1774; Zadock 1776; Josiah 1778; Rachel 1780; Polly 1781; Ethan 1784; Achsah 1786; twins Sally and Sukey 1788; Emory 1790; Robert 1792; William 1794; Zilpha 1796; Ira 1799; Roswell 1801; and Othniel Gilbert 1804.
