Gaspare Anastasi immigrated to the United States from Marsala, Sicily. He departed from Naples, Italy on Oct. 3rd, 1902 on the S.S. Perugia and arrived in New York, Ellis Island on Oct. 19th, 1902. In the ship record Line# 14, it stated that he was going to Bedford, Ohio to reside with a cousin by the name (transcription coming soon). He was age 26 and travel by himself.
On March 28th, 1910 he appears to be filling his Declaration Of Intention in Erie County, Ohio, and reside at 524 Decature, Sandusky, Ohio. It is unclear of his move from Sandusky, OH to Chattanooga, TN.

Survivors, widow; five children, two sons Tony and Jake; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry Ragusa, Misses Jennette and Rose; one sister, Mrs. Carl Culichio, all of this city; two brothers, Joseph, of New York, and James of Sandusky, O.
