Daniel Augustyn Services at Ord

Funeral services were today (Thursday) for Daniel Stanley Augustyn, 50, who died very unexpectedly at his job site northwest of Ord, June 30, 1975. Father Stanley Gorak officiated at the 10 am rites at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Elyria. Daniel Stanley Augustyn was born Sept. 1, 1924 in Garfield County, the son of Adam and Della Golus Augustyn. He grew up on a farm in Garfield County with his parents, attending rural schools there. Danny was united in marriage to the former Betty Freeman on Nov. 22, 1946 at Grand Island. They made their home in Ord. He had been employed in farming and by the Ulrich Sand and Gravel Company.

Survivors include two sons, Michael of Durango, CO and David of Kearney; daughters, Mrs. Pam Ellington of Ord and Cathy Augustyn of Ord; also four grandsons; two brothers, Edmund of Burwell and Bernard of Ord; sisters, Mrs. Florence Golda of Ord, Mrs. Esther Fish of North Loup and Mrs. Rachel Mason of Ord. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
