Charles W. Bauch passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the age of 76. He leaves behind his wife Virginia (Armata) Godek Bauch, his daughter Ann Marie Belden and her husband Richard, son Robert Bauch and his partner Nicole Dieppa, son Henry Godek and his wife Jo Marlene, and grandchildren Benjamin and Ryan Belden and Alyssa and Alexander Bauch, also his special love Mollie, his golden retriever. Charles was born in Springfield to the late Herbert and Marie (McMillan) Bauch. Charles was predeceased by his sister Norma J. Newsome. He attended Chicopee High School and was a Corporal in Company C, 508th Military Police Battalion, US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1962. After 30 years as a postal letter carrier, he retired in 1993, and loved to roll over and go back to sleep on rainy, stormy days. He and the "Love of his life" Virginia have spent their retirement sharing 21 happy years together. In Charlie's memory, go to the casino and pull the lever for him! A private graveside service will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee. The Corridan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
