Mrs H. I. Auestad dies at Slater
SLATER, Jan 3. Mrs H.I. AUESTAD 73 Years old, died here this morning at her home after an illness of two days with bronchial pneumonia. She was taken ill on Monday.
Mrs Auestad had been a resident of Slater for 50 years. She is survived by her husband Haktor, 5 stepchildren, Mrs Sarah Heggen of Slater, Mrs Ida Peterson of Sheldahl, Mrs Belle Larson of Albin, Wyoming, Herman Auestad of Des Moines, and Andrew Auestad of Kensett; two brothers, S.O. Wald of Slater and Martin Wald of Mason City, and two sisters, Mrs Charles Anderson and Mrs Clarence Clark, both of Slater. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Slater, Jan 3, Funeral service for Mrs H.I. Auestad, who died Wednesday after a two day illness with pneumonia at her home here, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Bethlehem Church. The Rev. E. R. Rorem will be in charge. Burial will be at the Sheldahl, Polk County, Iowa cemetery.
