Edward Joseph Schluterman, 86, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Fort Smith, AR.
He was born August 24, 1924 in Subiaco, AR.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, a Navy Veteran and a retired foreman for Delta Construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Theresa Schluterman, one son Edward J. Jr. (Bubba) and five sisters, Martha Schluterman, Olivia Seiter, Ceal Sprick, Marie Eckert and Elizabeth Boerner Waddell.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years Holly, six children, and their spouses. Three daughters, Kay Burrell (Denver) of Keller, TX, Sue Shinn (Michael) and Patti Schluterman, of Fort Smith, three sons, Mark (Susan) of Fort Smith, Kenny of Panama, OK and Rodney (Cheryl) of Maumelle, one daughter-in-law Teresa Schluterman of Fort Smith, ten grandchildren and their spouses, Holly Carchesio (Tony), Andy Schluterman, Katie Kratzberg (A.J.), Eddie (Tasha) Kaylyn, Emily, Blake, Anna Jewel, Miles and Lillie and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother J.T. Schluterman, and four sisters, Kathryn Reith, Gertrude Etzkorn, JoAnn VanderHeide and Ginny Klein. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

His interests were his family, fishing, hunting, and the Razorbacks.

Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with interment at The U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Bill Soller, Sammy Ray, Gilbert Koch, Jerry Spahn, Dicky Spahn and Dennis Spahn.
