Became Prisoner of War 21 Mar 1918.
Died as PoW at Military Hospital 21D (German).
First burial at Bohain Station Military Cemetery, (Rue du General Foy).
Re-interred in 1925 by British at Premont.Location of original burial: Grave no. 276.

A Jobbing Carpenter, he was called up around 1916, when he lived in Churchdown, Gloucestershire.
Captured on 21 March 1918 at Moÿ-de-l'Aisne, during the German Spring Offensive, so became a Prisoner of War. He died of abdominal and heart problems in Bohain Military Station Hospital.
His remains were moved to Premont Cemetery c.1920, Grave Ref No. IV.B.6; Find a Grave ref. 72447621

No gravestone or markings now exist on the site of the original burial, all burials at Bohain Station Military Cemetery were moved in the 1920's and the site is now part of a farm field on the West side of Rue du General Foy.
