Vera Morgan

Columbus Junction-Vera Marie Morgan, 72, died this morning at her home in Fredonia.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Faris will officiate. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visition will begin at noon Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
The daughter of Fred and Esther Askam Finley, she was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Nichols.
Her marriage to Fred Morgan took place Sept. 6, 1930, in Washington. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Columbus Junction.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Dr. Bill Morgan of Phoenix, Ariz., one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Lorna)Nyenhuis of Muscatine; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Finley of Fredonia, Clarence Finley of Muscatine, Merle Finley of Detroit, Mich., and Fred Finley of Coralville; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Dunscombe of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Clarence (Pearle) Gordy of Letts.
Four brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
