NORMA JUNOD
Norma Frances Junod, nee Reaka, 88, of O'Fallon, Illinois, born August 23, 1922, in Crossroads near Fairview Heights, Illinois, died Monday, June 27, 2011, in Collierville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Junod was a long-time parishioner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church and belonged to Yesterday's Kids. She was a secretary at O'Fallon Township High School from 1970-1989. She was a member of O'Fallon Senior Citizens, VFW Post No. 805 Auxiliary and past president of VFW Post No. 3468 Auxiliary. Norma was an avid bowler and Cardinals fan. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, was one helluva dancer and, along with her late husband, John, was actively involved with the community. She had been spending her winters in Florida for the past several years. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, whom she married April 9, 1947, in O'Fallon, Illinois, and who died September 1, 1989; her parents, Fred and Catherine, nee Greener, Reaka; and four siblings, Earl, Eulalia, Othmar, and Maurice.
Surviving are her children, Steven Junod, of O'Fallon, Illinois, and Linda (Frank) Walsh, formerly of O'Fallon, Illinois, currently of Tennessee and Florida; grandson, Ian Walsh; and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Jonathan Walsh. Also surviving are nieces, Sue Ann Archer of Granite City, Illinois, and Rita Sue Scott of New York, New York.

VISITATION: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 West Washington Street, O'Fallon, Illinois, and from 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Drive, O'Fallon, Illinois. O'Fallon Senior Citizens will conduct a walk-through and service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
FUNERAL: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, with Monsignor James Margason presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Illinois.
