Sarah Markee
was born in Tuscarauas Co. Ohio, Dec. 28, 1841, and died near Glasco, Jan. 26, 1911. In her early childhood her parents moved to Indiana, and from there to Illinois, where she was married to Mac Staten Mills. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Sarah Ausman, of Cestos, Okla., being the only one living. Mr. Mills, her husband, gave his life for his country during the civil war. In 1866 she was married again, to Elijah Kellogg. To this union nine children were born. But two of them are living, John Kellogg, of Glasco, and Mrs. Laura M. Cole, of Cestos, Okla., with 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In 1873 they moved to Cloud Co., Kans., and settled on a claim southwest of the city of Glasco, where they lived until the death of Mr. Kellogg thirteen years ago. Since that time she has lived in the city. She obeyed her Savior in her early girlhood, and became a member of the Church of Christ; has fought the good fight and kept the faith. She was a member of the W.R.C. of Glasco. Her funeral took place from the Christian church, Jan. 28, conducted by G.S. Smith. A large gathering of friends met to pay a last tribute of respect to a mother, sister and friends.

Card of Thanks
John R. Kellogg and his two sisters, Mesdames Sarah Ausman and Laura M. Cole, desire to extend to the many friends who so kindly assisted during the illness and death of their mother, their sincere thanks, and pray that God's blessings may rest upon them. And particularly do they express their appreciation of the loyalty flowers provided by the Rebekahs, the W.R.C. and Miss Linda Hare.
