Inventor. Born in Stockholm, he immigrated in 1888 to Titusville, Pennsylvania. After several years engaged in the manufacture of radiators, he came to Buffalo in 1901 to build molding machinery he had invented for the American Radiator Company In 1915 he was appointed Superintendent of the Elmwood Avenue plant and four years later became Manager. He designed machinery for the manufacture of munitions during World War I and is reportedly the inventor of the first hand grenade. He retired in 1930.
