Lula is the daughter of Elijah Henry and Ardenia F. Compton Deaton. She was the only girl in a family where she had 3 brothers.
She married William "Bill" Todd in 1904 and they had a son in 1909. There is a date for their marriage in her husbands' obit that says 27 Sep 1910 but I have not found a record to prove which date is correct. She was born in Mississippi and while married to Bill, they lived in Fort Worth, Texas, a short time in Mississippi, in Arkansas, and in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They moved to the Eugene area and that is where they made their final home.
