VERSAILLES - Judith R. Begley, 62, of Deerfield Drive, died Fri., Sept. 24, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, SGM Frank Begley, US Army (retired). Three sons, Samuel Begley of Jackson, MS, Martin Begley of Frankfort, and Steven Begley of Laughlin, NV survive her. Additional survivors include a sister, Sandra Kae Lamb of Knoxville, TN, Jack Combs Jr. of Whitesburg, and Danny Wayne Combs of Hazard. A daughter of the late Jack Sr. and Grace Polly Combs, she was a graduate of Dilce Combs High School at Jeff, in Perry County and was a retired federal civilian employee of the Kentucky Army National Guard. She is a recipient of the Kentucky Distinguished Service Medal awarded by Kentucky Governor Paul Patton and the Commander's Award for Civilian Service to the Kentucky Army National Guard. She was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Ernie Fletcher. She was a volunteer for the Miss Woodford County pageant. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Monday, September 27 at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Jessamine County.
