Horace Edward Calloway, 78, of Louisville, died Sunday at Jewish Hospital. He was a native of Elverton, WV, a retired mail handler for the US Postal Service and a painting con- tractor. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Cable Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Calloway; one daughter, Rhonda A. (Ron) Stanford of Columbia, MD; three sons, Mark E. (Barbara) Calloway, Clay C. (Patricia) Calloway and Charles A. Calloway; a niece, Donna Martin, who was his caregiver; 16 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cable Baptist Church, 314 Wenzel St., with burial Friday in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be from noon-4 p.m. Thursday at W.P. Porter Mortuary, 2611 Virginia Ave. and from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
