Helen Wiles, 67, Maple Avenue, Burnside, died Thursday, October 16, 2003, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

A Pulaski County native, she was born March 3, 1936, daughter of the late Ernest and Addie Mae Stanton Campbell. She was a homemaker, member of the Clan Campbell Society, and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include two sons, Roger D. Johnson, Burnside and David R. Wiles, Cortland, Ohio; a daughter, Laurie Ann (and Colin) Nichols, Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Ellian Wiles, Zion, Illinois; her fiance, Eugene "Pappy" Slagle; a brother, Bill Campbell, Somerset; and two grandchildren, Jennifer M. Wiles and Collier E. Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ronald Wiles, who died October 13, 1997; her parents; and a brother, Ira D. Campbell.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, at Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. J.S. New officiating.

Burial was in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
