Connie was born on Dec. 9, 1944 in Crookston, Minn. to Curtis and Irene (Hanson) Johnson. The family later moved to St. Paul where she graduated from Johnson High School and then attended nine months of vocational school training.
She married James Donahue on Nov. 9, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Connie worked several different jobs before taking the job as Stacy City Clerk a position she held for 15 years. She loved traveling, genealogy, coloring plastic canvas, making quilts, birding, gardening and hanging out with family and friends.
Survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim; sons: Timothy (Marie) of Fargo, N.D., Jimmy (Laura) of Hugo; daughter, Jamie (Tim) O'Day of North Branch; grandchildren: Nathan, Sean, Steve, Katrina, Trevor, Erin, Ryan and Jack; sisters: Kris (Tom) LeMire of Bartlet, Ill., Vicky Johnson of Federal Way, Wash., and Kim Centeno of Federal Way, Wash.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Pastor Frank Gomes officiating. Interment followed the service at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Serving as casket-bearers were: Jack Ekholm, Joe Zitkus, Julie Zitkus, Tim O'Day, Jerry Randolph and David Randolph.
Memorials are preferred to Community Care at Fairview Lakes in Wyoming.
Arrangements were under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
