Leland E Gist, 65, Lee's Summit, died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born in Wheatland, MO, and had lived in this area 40 years. Mr. gist was a warehouseman for the Milgram Food Stores 28 years before he retired in 1977. He was a member of the Wheatland United Methodist Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruby E Gist of the home; a son., Randal K Gist, Kansas City; a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Golden, Lake Tapawingo in Jackson County; two sisters, Mrs. Evagene Coon, Independence, and Mrs. Lorene Todd, Marshall, MO; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 1 PM Saturday at the Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery.
