JOHN FRANKLIN ANNIS, 80, husband of the late Phyllis Pearl (Wessells) Annis and a resident of Bloxom, died at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, on Monday, July 2, 2001.
Born in Clam, Mr. Annis was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ruth Taylor Annis. He was a retired waterman and a WWII Navy veteran.
A graveside service, Liberty Cemetery, Parksley, was held Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Freddie Ward officiated.
Mr. Annis is survived by two sons, Ray Annis of Tasley and David Annis of Onley; three grandchildren, Johan Annis, Bobbi Rae Annis and Michael Thomas Annis; and a friend and companion, Susan Bundick.
Arrangements were made by Thornton Funeral Home, Parksley.
