• MARIETTA -- Services for Marilyn Ann Cavitt, 56, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Chris Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Burneyville Cemetery.
Born Sept. 8, 1945, in Marietta to George Austin and Effie Lorene Walker Hearell, she died Feb. 13, 2002, at the Marietta hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twin brother and sister.
She married Bobby G. Cavitt on Oct. 9, 1978, at Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.
Mrs. Cavitt was a resident of Love County all of her life. She was a certified nurse's aide. She had worked at Lake Country Manor Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Cavitt enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Landon Len and Danna Gregg, Wylie, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Donald Pitts, Marietta, Melanie and Darrell Maggard, Thackerville, and Hattie Klein, Healdton; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Martha Hearell, Tulsa; a special cousin, Imogene Palmer, Leon; eight grandchildren, Kecia Pitts, Jimmy Pitts, Markus Pitts, Bo Pershica, Crystal Maggard, Kaci Maggard, Awstin Gregg and Alex Gregg; three step-grandchildren, David McMahon, Lucas McMahon and Amanda McMahon; four great-grandchildren, Tony James, Kayla Loveday, Seth Pitts and Payton Pitts.
Bearers are Brent Goodwin, Bert Tickle, James Hume, Jerry Putnam, Lonnie Cavitt and Roy Gregg. Honorary bearers are Ray Grice, Donald Pitts, Jimmy Pitts. Dr. Tom O'Connor, Cross Timbers Hospice, Lake Country Manor Nursing Home staff and Mercy Health Love County staff.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 pm. today at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home."
