Ronald was born July 7, 1936, in Clinton, IA, to George D. "Pat" and Juanita (Healless) Venema. He was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and graduated from Fulton High School in 1954. He served in the United States Navy Submarine Service from 1959 to 1963.
Ronald was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL retiring in 1991. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church where he participated in the choir and was a member of the consistory and the Men's League. He also taught Adult Sunday School classes. Ron was a volunteer Miller at the Fulton Windmill and was also a member of the Fulton Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed reading and playing the organ.
Survivors include one sister, Sandra (Robert) Foster of Fulton, IL; four nephews, Michael (Cristi) Foster, David Foster, Daniel (Kathy) Foster, and Matthew (Monica) Foster; three great-nieces, Megan, Paige, and Sara Foster; two great-nephews, Mitchell and Kyle Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
