Gladys was born of Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish descent on November 25, 1915 in Milnor, ND, a daughter to Louis and Hilma (Gustafson) Jorgenson. She attended school in Milnor and Ft. Ransom, ND, graduating from the Kathryn High School in Kathryn, ND.Gladys married Chester Eskelson on December 30, 1936 in Kathryn, ND. They farmed near Kathryn until 1960. They owned and operated Chet’s Service of Enderlin. They retired in 1978. Chester died in February 1989. Gladys was a member of the Maple Rive Senior Citizens and Royal Neighbors. Gladys is survived by three sons, Howard (Marlys), Fargo, ND, Donald (Jeanne) and Guy, both of Enderlin, ND; a sister, Marjorie (Evy) Fjeld, Valley City, ND; two brothers, Clarence (Marilyn) Jorgenson, Valley City, ND and Keith (Irene) Gustofson, Cut Bank, MT; special friend, Einar Olson, Lisbon, ND; and by sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
