Betty was a strong, spitfire woman. She married Alton while he was in the military. After his military discharge, the family traveled to different areas of the country, possibly following work. They ended up in the Seattle, Washington area as Alton had passed the test to be employed by Boeing. She spent the rest of her life in the area. She raised 2 boys and 3 girls, having lost an infant son near birth. She lived to meet many of her great-grandchildren. She was very loved by her family.
