Dec. 26, 1907-March 10, 1990

Irwin "Andy" Stoeffler, 82, Nevada, died Saturday of cancer at Story County Long Term Care Center, Story County Hospital, Nevada. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Irwin Stoeffler was born in Guttenburg to Andrew and Susan (Felder) Stoeffler. He was a 48-year resident of Nevada, a retired carpenter and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include five sons, Ray, Gary, Jan and Kent, all of Nevada, and Bradley of Des Moines; two daughters, Sue Streeter of State Center and Becky Johnson of Colo; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Art of Nevada; and two sisters, Julia McLaughlin of Guttenburg and Minn Brady of East Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 1975; and three sisters.

A scripture service will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m., at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada.
