John Lee was the son of Charlie Zeigler and Minnie Kate Bonner Zeigler. He was educated in the Houston County School System. He retired from the Newberry Plumbing Company.
He was a talented musician and songwriter who was well known for playing guitar in various cities.
He was married to Irene Scott Zeigler.
