William Mason Dixon
William Mason Dixon, age 71 of La Grange, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East. He was a retired band director for Henry and ShelCounty Schools. He belonged to the Kentucky Music Educators Association, Kentucky and Henry County Retired Teachers Association, Kentucky Education Association, Henry and ShelCounty Education Association. He also was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and former Exalted Ruler of Elk Lodge #8.
He is survived his wife of 45 years: Gail Dixon, La Grange; one brother, Tom Dixon (Judy); one sister, Lynn Drane; one brother-in-law, David Buchheit (Claudia) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, November 17, 2010) at Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will be in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010.
