He was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge of Houston and devout member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a greeter for 7 years. Bryant served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army in Korea and was honorably discharged with a purple heart.
He is survived by his wife Opal; Sons: Donald and wife June, Robert and wife Sonia; Grandsons: Jonathan, Michael, Travis and Casey; Stepsons: Jackie, Richard, and Roy; Stepdaughter: Trish, seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2005 at J.B. Earthman -Tanglewood Funeral Directors, 5740 San Felipe @ Bering. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2005 at Central Baptist Church, 2855 Green House Rd. Houston, Tx. 77084. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
