H. H. BIRKHOLM KNIGHTED BY KING OF DENMARK
King Christiaon IX of Denmark has conferred the title of knight upon H. H. Birkholm, a San Franciscan, who for ten years has represented the Danish government as consul general to California, Oregon and Washington. Consul Birkholm received information of the honor the king has seen fit to bestow upon him in return for his services to his fatherland, on Monday, from the Danish cabinet. The rank of knighthood is one of distinct honor socially in Denmark. Mr. Birkholm has made his home in San Francisco several years, and he has offices in the Grant building, at 1095 Market Street.
