Frances DeLano Dies; Rites To Be Thursday
Miss Frances Irene DeLano, 17, 1102 Colorado Street, Florence, died at the residence this morning at 7:10 after a lingering illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buster Cecil DeLano; a brother, Charles; a sister, Gail; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mamie DeLano, all of Florence, and a number of more distant relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 from the Freewill Baptist church with Rev. Lambert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wesley's Chapel Cemetery on Savannah Highway. Arrangements by Chisholm Funeral Home.
Active bearers will be uncles; Paul, Stanley, Nelson, Fay Rl, Edwin, and Floyd DeLano.
Honorary bearers; Homer Rickard, Micul Prestage, Dr. Dillard, Dr. Carl Luckey, Les Hall, M.S. Barley, Hayes Marcus, and Rufus Nelson.
The body will be carried to the residence this afternoon at 4 where it will remain until time for services.
