Burial was to be in the Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria.
Mrs. Buxton died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in her home.
She was the widow of Cicero Buxton and was a native of Vernon Parish.
Survivors are four sons, Harrison, Hubbard, Ralph and J.C. Buxton, all of Oakdale; two daughters, Mrs. Callie Marcel (sic) of New Orleans and Mrs. Eula Doyle of Oakdale; four brothers, Valzey Thompson of Pitkin, Edmond Thompson of Shreveport, Ezra Thompson of DeRidder and O.C. Thompson of Lake Charles.
Also, three sisters, Mrs. Virgil Bailey and Mrs. Rosaline James, both of Rosepine and Mrs. Lydia Bailey of Leesville and 37 grandchildren.
