"Orrin William Mohring died Sunday evening, July 26, 1981 at St. Mary's Hospital, Sparta. He had reached the age of 80 years, seven months, and 15 days.

He was born in Barre Mills, Wisconsin on December 11, 1900, the son of John and Marie (Plata) Mohring. On July 4, 1941 he was united in marriage to Loretta Kuehl in Tomah.

They lived in the Sparta area and he worked on the Clarence Habhegger farm for a number of years. Later he worked for Hemstock Concrete Products, Sparta, as a mixer-operator until his retirement in 1966.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sparta.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Erna Vander Veen, Mrs. Mary Williams and Mrs. Dora Kenyon; and four brothers, Henry, John, Fred, and William.

Surviving are his wife, Loretta; two sons (living), and three grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 1981 at the Page-Smith Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend H. W. Winkel officiating.

Burial was in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Sparta wit the following serving as pallbearers: Robert Wellner, Jeffrey Kuehl, Kenneth Warner, Allen Solchenberger, Steven North and Spencer Warner, Jr."
