Dee Walker, 72, Broken Bow, died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Texarkana, Texas. He was born Sept. 17, 1928, at Tom.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in Denison Cemetery, Idabel. The Rev. Cletus Hawkins officiated.

Dee Walker was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was a retired welder, a Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harv and Pearl Cunningham Walker; and one brother, Bud Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Walker, Broken Bow; three sons, Tony Walker, Bartlesville, Kent Walker, Idabel, and Earl Walker, Fort Smith, Ark.; four daughters, Pat Cole. Mt. Jewell, Pa., Angie Ogden, Broken Bow, Dorothy Barnes, Hugo, and Debra Gilley, Oklahoma City; three stepsons, Jerry Ticknor, Tulsa, Dennis Dickerson, Valliant, and Jay Dickerson, Idabel; three stepdaughters, Ann Rankin, Houston, Texas, and Brenda Branum and Karen Carol, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Ersie Smith Redland, and Clara Freeman, Rattan; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
