Miss Adele married Wiliam Harvey Romig in Victor, IA on 2 August, 1881. Rev. Romig was a Moravian minister, whose service in the ministry involved home mission work, which took them around the middle west. In 1909 the Reverend was elected to represent the Moravian Church in America in the General Synod at Herrnhut, Saxony. In visiting Bavaria, Rev. Romig had a difficult time at meals because the only beverage served was beer, and he was "temperant".
Adele Cecelia and Rev. Romig had ten children: Grace Rebekah, Albert Stanley, Edith Cecelia, Harold Montgomery, Alice Charlotte, Beatrice Susannah, Gertrude Naomi, Paul William, Ruth Evangeline, and Helen Lucille.
The Good Reverend died in 1916 in Grinnell, Iowa. His family moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where Adele remained until her death, nearly 40 years later, in 1955. She never remarried, living to nearly age 97.
Rev. Romig had been interred elsewhere until 1936, when Adele reinterred him in Madison at Forest Hill Cemetery.
